Episode 2 of The Mudding!

EPISODE 2 OF   mud  th  ANOTHER IDEA FOR HOW TO SURVIVE IT  WITHOUT GOING POSTAL!
AUTO DEFENSE SYSTEM – CARGO LINERS
I drive an SUV, I suppose lots of Dog People do too.  I always have the Back Seats folded down, so there’s a big Dog area from right behind my seat all the way back to the tail gate.  I can’t find “Cargo Liners” that long;
I only find them for when the back seats are in People position.  Even if I did find what I want, it would be over $200, because the short ones are about $100, like this one from Weathertech.  Looks great, but notice it extends only to behind the back seats; I always have the back seats folded flat for twice the Cargo (Dog) Space.

So, I improvised.  After hours of researching and comparing prices and products I found this 5 Foot x 8 Foot very thick, heavy, substantial, strong mat for $80.00 and I cut it to size myself – not too hard to do.
utility matWhere do you go to order a big, rubber mat? Why, The Rubber Man, of course! (he had the best overall price) “5-x-8-multi-use-rolled-rubber-mat”.  What this does not have, though, is a “lip” around the perimeter; the Weathertechs are digitally molded to the contours of each, specific Make & Model.
With my alternative version, if “someone” spilled, or had “another kind of accident” , liquid could run to the edges if I got unlucky.  So I keep an easily-washable and absorbent blanket over it…. like the British Flag throw I got at a Consignment Store for $6.00
