Yearly Dog Vaccine Boosters. DIY for $6.99 each

Time for our Yearly Canine Booster Vaccines – poor Doggies!  But they hardly even notice the shot, actually.

Saving a lot of Shelter Dogs is what we want to do, but paying for a lot of Vaccinations sounds like a nightmare, doesn’t it !  Nope!  I have found smart ways to make it affordable !

I (and you!) can give this vaccination myself.  I ordered their yearly shots on-line from Doctors Foster & Smith who had the best price, $6.99 Each!
I also can get them in person – from Tractor Supply Company or from Southern States Grain.  In adulthood, the yearly booster can be what they call a “Five-Way” or a “Nine-Way”.   Vaccination Schedules are available on the web sites of any of these sellers.
I give the shot myself, it’s no more of a big deal than the shot that Diabetics give themselves – small needle, given subcutaneously or intramuscularly. Intimidating?  Refer to my previous article about this  That’s a Cheap Shot!        Vaccinations – Oh, Yes You Can!

Here’s what they cover; pretty much everything!
NINE-WAY
: Recommended for vaccination against canine distemper, adenovirus cough, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus, and four types of leptospirosis. The parvovirus portion is modified live canine cell origin. Canine adenovirus-2 (CAV-2) helps provide protection against both canine infectious hepatitis and tracheobronchitis (kennel cough). Give subcutaneously or intramuscularly. Please note: The term “9-way vaccine” refers to a 7-way vaccine that provides protection against four types of Leptospirosis rather than two.

FIVE-WAY:  Recommended for vaccination against canine distemper, canine hepatitis, adenovirus cough (kennel cough), parainfluenza, and parvovirus. The parvovirus portion is modified live canine cell origin. Contains no leptospirosis. Canine adenovirus-2 (CAV-2) helps provide protection against both canine infectious hepatitis and tracheobronchitis (kennel cough). We recommend this vaccine for dogs six weeks of age and older. Given subcutaneously or intramuscularly.
They also have choices that include Corona virus, if that’s a big concern in your area.

The vaccines should be kept cool, so I did a fast delivery and it got here in 2 days,  by Air.    It was packed with Cold Packs.

Put them in the fridge when they arrive, but do not freeze them.  Sometimes, things freeze on the top shelf of my fridge – might want to put these lower.
